Meet Cheryl Stoner
A Midwesterner turned Californian, Cheryl followed a creative path from graphic design to the sweet work of caramel-making.

From the heartland to sunny California
Cheryl came to Southern California from the Midwest in the 1970s with the boyfriend who is now her husband. They found their home in the vibrant community of Oceanside.
She founded her own design company, CSDesign, and spent more than three decades working in corporate marketing, while volunteering for the Seagaze Concert Series and her son’s school.
A sweet transition
Cheryl first learned to make caramels alongside her husband’s grandmother, and for years she gave them to friends and family during holidays and special occasions.
Five years after retiring from CSDesign, she turned that tradition into a business, sharing her caramels at street fairs and farmers markets. Her family and friends still pitch in, especially during the busy seasons.
Her design background never went to waste. Cheryl handles every part of the business herself, from the packaging to the branding.
